I have worn the Tread Pokeboos a few times now and so far they have been really good. It is the first barefoot style I have ever worn so they take a bit of getting used to. They are very light, and great for walking on soft bushy moorland, but don't feel very protective on stones. Completely waterproof, but am not sure if that will last as they feel flimsy, although that may just be because I am used to sturdier footwear. So fa so good.

I find wearing wellies for long periods tiring and uncomfortable, and I also wanted waterproof footwear I could pack in my suitcase to take abroad. I found the Pokeboo boots surprisingly easy to put on (I have chunky calves and a high instep, so wellies are often a struggle), and to wear. They proved fine for crossing streams when hiking and I could wear them for extended periods without tiring. They were also useful protection where ticks were present.

I’m really pleased with my Tread boots! I normally wear barefoot shoes and walking boots and these are the nearest to barefoot wellington boot I could find. I was a bit sceptical that the tread would be too shallow to keep me stable in muddy conditions but I’ve worn the boots in a mix of terrains and they’ve been great. A minor improvement would be if the shape of the toe was squarer. Definitely need to size up!

Superb design, ultralight, exceptionally comfortable.
A key clue is in the origins of the Pokeboo. Its based on what Japanese rice farmers wear when spending long hours planting and tending rice plants. Hence ultra waterproof and not heavy/tiring to wear all day, but meant for soft, muddy surfaces. There is no need for a thick sole or heel support. I wore them several times on a 10k return journey to nearby lakes. Most of it was on a river bank, woodland and the Pokeboo took everything in its stride - muddy stretches, calf deep water, slippery leaves. I felt I was barefoot, and it was an amazing sensation. However on the road section of the trip I could feel every pebble. Definitely not the only footware I would take on a walk with mixed surfaces. But because they are so light and small, I can now leave my Wellingtons behind and wear light ankle boots with all the required foot support for hard surfaces. And have the Pokeboos in the water bottle carrier of my daypack. Come to a stretch of mud with some deep water - slip on the Pokeboos and never worry about cold, wet socks again.

I bought them for a friend who is traveling. I wanted to see if the small size would fit me (barely--and the next size up is a bit too large). But I'm hoping that, if I get these for myself, they will stretch a bit just as the regular pair of 10.5 Pokeboo boots I purchased have over a month.

Super comfortable and lightweight. Feet dry while feeling like I am walking in my slippers!

Came across these quite by accident. I’m a fan of barefoot style shoes and these appealed because of that. On their debut walk, I was comfortable and also warm and dry. Very happy with the ability to fold them into a very neat package - perfect for travel. Would heartily recommend.

Great quality wellies but sizes come up really small and for a barefoot friendly brand they are more narrow than wellies I bought from Aldi

The boots back down well, are light, have good tread but they are tight around my leg even though they fit my feet well. They also don’t go as far up my leg as I would like. If they went 2 inches higher and added an inch to the circumference they would be perfect

These are amazing if you’re looking for a barefoot wellie, shame that they don’t have the wide toe box most barefoot shoes have, it’s much more comfortable. Hopefully they add that in the future and I’ll get another pair. If you normally ware barefoot shoes get the next size up as your big toe will be squashed

First pair I ordered were a little tight so I requested a return. I made some mistakes I'm the process but their customer service were so patient and helpful. Got the size up and they fit perfectly and feel like a dream. I never imagined wellies could be so comfortable! Looking forward to splashing around without worrying about my poor weirdly shaped feet getting rubbed raw. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

First pair of Pokeboo's and after a couple of pairs of big brand wellies before, I can safely say that these are a different league in comfort to those. I've been using barefoot shoes for a year so there is no transition for me and that makes these an instant win for my feet. It's like a form fitted rubber ninja sock but without it being as sweaty or as hard to put on or take off as that description sounds. In fact it is a pleasure to put on, and easy to take off. Easy to keep clean and I reckon if you can walk correctly and without drag you can expect these to last a long time. Never thought I would geek out about wellies but these are seriously good and look much better looking on than most style of wellies. Tried them in the local stream about a foot deep with absolutely no worries.

Bought a pair for my husband. Delivery was quick and easy.
He wears barefoot shoes and he liked the boots. He said: like wearing socks but you don’t get wet feet ! lol 😂
Mainly used for muddy walks with dog would have liked the model with more gripping sole but it doesn’t come in the biggest size unfortunately. Not really clear why Pokeboo thinks that men with big feet don’t like mud 🤔

These are the most comfortable rubber boots I have ever worn. The thin rubber creases with every movement, and the soles are so thin that the feeling is like wearing rubber socks.

I absolutely love these boots! So light and comfortable and the tread gives so much stability and grip - super happy
